Hi, I’m Payton.

I’m the founder and creative director behind scemax, but long before scemax existed, I was just someone who really loved making things look, feel, and work better.

In 2017, I moved from Greenville, South Carolina to Florida to live with my partner, who already owned a pretty successful full-service creative agency. At the time, though, that wasn’t really my world. I was doing my own thing, working in property management, styling, retail and figuring out what I wanted my own path to look like.

Little by little, I started getting involved with the agency. At first it was small jobs, helping with projects here and there, or jumping in wherever I could be useful. Somewhere along the way, “helping out” turned into taking on my own projects, then creative direction, branding, campaign development and eventually working with everyone from small businesses finding their footing to national and global brands.

I kind of fell into this world and then realized I was really good at it.

But the part I’ve always loved most is the same: taking an idea that feels a little too ambitious and figuring out how to make it happen.

That curiosity is really what led me to scemax.

I started exploring new creative tools because I was looking for better ways to solve real production problems, not because I wanted technology to replace the human touch. Somewhere along the way, that experimenting turned into something much bigger.

scemax is the result of everything I’ve learned, everything I’m still learning, and my belief that a great idea shouldn’t have to become smaller just because the budget is.

I’m still experimenting, still creating, still looking over the tiny details and probably still asking, “Okay, but what if we tried this?”

That’s me. And that’s pretty much how scemax works too.
